There are 30,000 children each year diagnosed and battling cystic fibrosis. There is no cure for this progressive disease.
Sticky Icky Booger Bugs is the tale of a boy’s battle with cystic fibrosis as he attempts to avoid the hospital. Kory is just like any other child. He loves recess, playing soccer and exploring his neighborhood with his best friend. With every puff, cough, and sneeze, Kory keeps the sticky icky booger bugs away so he can have fun every day!
Sticky Icky Booger Bugs is an inspiring story about a little boy named Kory and the challenges he faces each day as he lives with Cystic Fibrosis.
Kory wakes each morning to start a routine of breathing treatments, inhalers, and medication and ends his day in pretty much the same way. Through it all he never complains and finds comfort in his mother's love and dedication. Despite his illness, Kory is a regular kid who like video games, soccer, and playing with his friends.
Kory's story encourages children with Cystic Fibrosis to embrace each day and enjoy it to the fullest. It also teaches young readers that kids with Cystic Fibrosis may deal with an illness, but are no different than you or me.
