A marketing and advertising executive,a tireless fundraiser for many charities,a painter, gardner, and mother to two girls and two boys, Louise's passions keep growing.

Sensing the need to do more for young children in our challenging world and inspired by life itself, Louise created Magelica, a young girl with fairy blood and her own questions about life.
Louise takes our winged heroine and her fun and wacky friends to new worlds of magic and adventure, challenging the reader to discover the magic of life and the power of love for themselves.
Many years in the making, and new stories underway, Louise and Magelica intend to spread their magical feathers to touch children and caregivers around the world. (Amazon)

BBB: What was the inspiration behind Magelica's Voyage?

LCN:
My children, and their love of adventure, fairy tales, and lullabies, inspired me to create Magelica and her world. As a mother to two girls, I was motivated to create a positive role model, not just for my daughters, but for all little girls. A female character that was kind and loving, positive and confident, modern with traditional values, cool without trying to be.  That was more than 25 years ago. My daughters have since grown to become young women and actually, I am the mother to 2 wonderful sons as well.

My inspirations in creating this book were many;  I wanted to share my beliefs and positive insights, and help others discover, in a fun and entertaining way, how to make their lives magical. I believe that the world is shifting and that more and more people are subscribing to the fact that positive energy attracts more positivity and that love really is the key to improving our world. Through Magelica’s Voyages, I hope to inspire young girls to grow up believing in themselves and in the power that love and positive thinking will bring them.

BBB: Tell us about your main character, Magelica.

LCN:
Magelica's Voyage  is a modern fairytale, deeply rooted in mythology. it's a story  filled with adventure, discovery, fun characters and inspiring messages, especially for young girls between the ages of 7-11. Magelica is a bright, young girl who's curious and has a great sense of adventure.  She has fairy blood but she doesn't know where she came from. In fact, she’s hatched from an egg the colour of sapphires, and wants to learn more about the mystery surrounding her birth.

Her name, Magelica, is actually a perfect combination of the words magic and angelic and she has a best friend, a baby dragon, Tris, who never leaves her side.

BBB: What do you think children will enjoy most about your story?

LCN: Children love adventure and they love a good mystery. Magelica is a most amazing adventure that begins one night shortly after Magelica takes a bath. Suddenly, a big, fuzzy purple, wacky creature comes in through her window and urges her into an adventure of discovery. And, then we are launched into an exciting voyage, which begins with a flying bathtub that turns into a galleon headed to the Isle of Dreams....and let's not forget, the mystery of  the magical feathers!

BBB: What are you currently working on?

LCN:
I am now working on book two of our Magelica's Voyage trilogy. The working title of the new book is Magelica's Voyage, The Rescue...and it promises to be even more exciting than book one...if you can imagine that. In this book we're going to meet THE PRINCE, in fact he's in trouble and he needs Magelica's help. In the new book, Magelica discovers how laughter is positively contagious!

BBB: How can readers discover more about you and your work?

LCN:
We absolutely love the readers, and  we share all kinds of fun things with them on a daily basis.

Of course, we can be found at www.magelica.com and also, a variety of digital platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram.
