Meet TC Booth, Author of The Time Travel Storm
Picture
TC Booth was born and raised in the small town where she currently lives and teaches. She is married with two daughters. She teaches third grade and holds a master's degree in education.

She discovered her enjoyment of writing at a young age with writing of poetry. She enjoys writing young adult material and children's stories.

Her daughters, their friends, and her students are the inspiration for many of her writing pieces. The many unique personalities of her students have influenced the creation of the characters in her children's stories.

She wrote the story The Time Travel Storm for her third grade class and read it to them on "Hobby Day." She feels blessed to be living her dream of not only teaching children, but writing stories for them to enjoy as well. (Amazon.com)

BBB: What inspired you to become a children's author?

TCB: My profession as a teacher allows me to spend each day in the world of children. Their perspective on things never ceases to amaze and delight me. My passion as a teacher is to instill the love of reading in all children. My desire as a writer is create stories that will engage them and make them want to read. So to sum it all up, the children are my inspiration to write.

BBB: How did you come up with the idea for your book, The Time Travel Storm?

TCB:
My class of third graders 2 years ago like books about time travel, such as The Magic Tree House. I wrote The Time Travel Storm for them and shared it with them on "Hobby Day". I also weaved Social Studies into the story by showing what life was like for children in the past.

BBB: Tell us about your main character, Alex?

TCB:
Alex is a normal third grade boy who is excited about going on a field trip with his class. He has a favorite hat and a best friend named, Scott. When he finds himself in an unusual position,(a one room school house in the 1800's), "he goes with the flow" and tries to make the best of it.  He discovers that he likes school today more than he thought.

BBB: What do you hope readers will enjoy most about The Time Travel Storm?

 TCB:
I hope the readers enjoy learning about school in the past through the eyes of Alex and enjoy a laugh or two throughout the story.

BBB: Are you currently working on another book?
