BBB: What inspired you to become a writer?
TB: Quite frankly life times knowing yet not knowing and the search for answers. Not only of my childhood but of a unknown innocent child, It left me know choice but to write in the end. And write I did, within a letter contains some of the best things I could have ever learned about myself. Not only was the letter open and honest but it contained emotion's that were powerful enough to have any woman cry that has ever read it to my knowledge . Within that letter is one of the best openings to a movie, a book or personal invitation in to ones life, I believe ever could have be written. Even down to the choice of paper it was written on as to calm the reader's threw out the twist and turns, humor and sadness that lie within it's transparent pages. I say readers as I knew it would be intercepted as well as shared. Though I could not prove it, I would bet till this day it is still held onto by one of them , if not both. As five letters were sent all saying the same thing. No reply was ever received except by the one letter that was returned unopened and which I still have myself . Only a sing of understanding on public display thrown my way in the end. Bringing to close a passage of time that will never be forgotten yet opening up more than I ever thought possible for myself.
TB: Honestly the book found me as I was being blindly led in search of success. Yes I had discovered I could write and toyed with it's possibilities as everything I was writing was being accepted and well received for it's intended purpose. Still all I really had was an e-mail name though knew years ago it was just so cute, that I just had to do something with it. This would one day lead to an ideal of chili. That would lead to a realization of not only was this rout going to be to expensive to attempt right away. But one as well where a cute story was in order. From there it led to publishing contracts. Then the full story of How Bees Came To Make Chili Nubbiebee's Hive Vol. 1 came to life. While waiting to be published once more in a vastly different arena , I put my label on Honey and yes in time will still try putting it on chili as my company grows.
TB: All I had to do with the illustrations was insist upon cute. Nubbiebee's started with cute as the frame work and by it's own direction must remain so. Mr. Patrick A. Siwik has achieved this in all aspects and directions in which Nubbiebee's is traveling. With out his help and understanding along with his many talents in movies, books, advertizing and marketing. I my self would have lost much of the say so in the development process of Nubbiebee's . It is only by grace I have been so fortunately blessed to work Mr Siwik
BBB: What do you think children will enjoy most about How Bees Came to Make Chili?
TB: The characters of How Bees Came To Make Chili were picked in relation to what children relate to in their own imaginations. Then put to a story that not only makes them laugh but simplifies the understanding of hope. While promoting self reflection in what they could achieve if faced with challenges or how to be a friend to those that may be challenged. In the feed back I have received , kids like all aspects of the book from the characters to the story line to the illustrations and the over all message of Dream Big, Hope and Belief Equals, The Power to Overcome! just as much as any adult. Resulting in a book everyone can enjoy.
TB: Yes! We have Nubbiebee's Hive to continue as well as my poetry and adult stories were working on. All of which we hope will continue to gain interest as we continue to grow in even more directions across the open markets of business and what can be achieved by working with others.
