My Review

When Amber suffers a fracture while playing soccer her mother takes her to the emergency room. Terrified, Amber asks a lot of questions and worries that the examination and x-rays will hurt. Her nurse is patient and helpful all while reassuring Amber that she will be fine. Amber's wonderful experience with the doctors and nurses lead her to make a very important decision about her future.
I really enjoy this series and When I Grow Up I Want To Be... a Nurse is another fantastic edition to books that enlighten children about all the opportunities that lie ahead. The story is entertaining and will easily captivate readers. Short outtakes detail real information about the nursing field which will educate readers as well. The use of actual images overlayed with animated characters are creative and visually stimulating. The When I Grow Up I Want To Be... series is well done and worth checking out.
I highly recommend picking up a copy.
