Book Synopsis

Earthly and otherworldly spirits collide for the ride of a lifetime. . .

There’s more ticking at Chloe Faust’s house than the cuckoo in the living room and her own biological clock. Sure, she wants a baby, but with no Mr. Right in sight, the only good solution seems to be medical science. Adept at juggling more than one project at a time, Chloe also wants to find out who really killed her great-great-great aunt.

With the baby issue resolved, Chloe will have to rely on her own methods to get the real facts about her aunt’s death. To help with that, she signs up to take a criminal investigation class, where she meets the substitute teacher, Homicide Detective Marsh Fielding.

Really? Mr. Right is teaching the class? Life just isn’t fair!

Marsh thinks the stunner in the back row is a little bit nuts, poking into a murder that’s over a century old. He figures he must be a little crazy himself, because he agrees to help her.

As if their relationship isn’t facing enough complications, life takes an unlikely turn when Marsh visits Chloe’s house for the first time… (Amazon)

Book Review

Chloe's Spirit is a gripping paranormal romance/mystery that easily captures a reader's attention with its fantastic story line and extensive detail.

Chloe lives in her family's home which has been passed down for generations and her roommate just happens to be a century old ghost. Chloe learns that she must solve the mystery behind her great, great, great aunt's murder in order to set her aunt's spirit free. Easier said than done since Chloe has issues of her own to work through swearing off men, especially cops, in the process. Now, a handsome cop is teaching a college course she enrolled in and it takes everything in her not to think about him. To make things worse he seems to be feeling the attraction too. Love is not a complication Chloe is prepared to deal with, besides she can't have a relationship with a man when she has a ghost living in her house or can she?

Ann Simas seamlessly intertwines an intriguing murder mystery with a budding romance as well as a love that spans beyond the grave to create a well rounded, fully intriguing tale that has a little something for everyone.

I highly recommend picking up a copy of Chloe's Spirit. Available on Amazon.
