Circus Fever by Alva Sachs is a lighthearted story about a little girl named Jessica, who loves the clowns at the circus. When Jessica finds out the circus is coming to town her heart leaps with excitement. She can barely contain herself as she explains to her mom that she has been "dreaming about this for a whole year" and she simply must go to the circus without her parents this year, after all she is nine! Jessica is too anxious to eat and hurries to her room to daydream about the circus and being a part of the magic.
Jessica is a very spirited nine-year-old and young readers won't be able to help, but get caught up in her excitement.
Patricia Krebs does an amazing job on the illustrations which add to this festive story.
Circus Fever was the recipient of the 2009 Creative Toy Awards and was a Best Books Award Finalist and Indie Excellence Finalist.
