Synopsis: Dr. Rory Wilson wrestles with the effects of childhood bullying by his father and others. Can he find it in his heart to forgive those who inflicted such pain, or will his scars prevent him from realizing a fulfilling family life? Three new F-words challenge Rory:—forgiveness, family and fatherhood. Will he triumph yet again?
Dr. Rory Wilson has finally found the family happiness and sense of belonging he has longed for all his life. His partner, Nemo and Nemo's two children bring Rory much joy, but when Nemo asks Rory to become a legal guardian of the kids his past begins to haunt him. Rory fears he is unfit as a father due to the poor example expressed by his own dad. However, when a tragic auto accident leaves Nemo in ICU Rory is forced to take a long hard look at his life. Can he overcome his past and find it in his heart to forgive those who brought him so much pain?
This is a touching and heartfelt story that explores the challenges those with alternative lifestyles face. It's eyeopening to how stereotypes and ignorance negatively affect those being persecuted long after the torment has ended. The characters are well developed and relatable. I was drawn in as the characters' lives unfolded before me. I shared in their sorrow as well as their bliss and longed for Rory to find the forgiveness needed to mend his heart.
