Book Synopsis

Join a boy named Wonder as he wonders what it’s like to be...a bird, a fish, or even a flea! His constant curiosity will have you thinking about different places, animals and things. The story follows along with a song that you can listen to online for free (link is provided inside the book) and enjoy over and over.

Written by Mark Darlow and illustrated with full-page color drawings by Juan Rodriguez, I Wonder What It’s Like To Be is a children’s book that will leave a lasting impression on people of all ages.

Selected Features and Benefits:
• The book has an easy-to-read story line for emerging young readers;
• It's a great bedtime story book (for newborns to 8 year olds);
• Kids can listen to the song online for free as they turn the pages (great for developing "word-tracking" skills);
• Singing along as they read the book helps kids learn how to sing or improve their singing abilities;
• A number of different animals such as chipmunks, and things like planes are introduced, thus reinforcing vocabulary and spelling skills;
• The printed softcover book includes some blank pages at the end to allow for kids to draw and write their own story line.

A Former Elementary School Teacher's Testimonial (from the book's back cover): "As a former teacher, I know what sparks children’s imaginations and motivates them to read. Mark Darlow has created something that is truly special.  His book and song complement each other perfectly to make reading fun for everyone." –Rebecca Espar, M. Ed. (Elementary Education) (Amazon.com)

Book Review

I Wonder What It's Like To Be tells the story of an inquisitive boy named Wonder, who "wonders" what it would be like to explore the world as an animal, plane and even a tree. Told in a musical verse this charming adventure easily engages readers to sing along and the bright and energetic illustrations are appealing.

I Wonder What's It's Like To Be encourages children to use their imagination to discover all the possibilities life has to offer and to have fun along the way and you might just learn "what it's like to be a chipmunk running free" or  "what it's like to be a fish out in the sea."

I recommend picking up a copy of the book and enjoying the sing along and animated book at http://iwonderdoyou.com/. Available on Amazon.

What a cute video. This would be a great book for my son to enjoy. He loves the read-to-me stories and I'm sure he'd love this, too. He's just learning to read, and this would be perfect. Thanks for the chance to win.
