Join Kristi Kay, a Cairn Terrier, on the adventure of a lifetime and experience the Grand Canyon in a special way. Listen to the canyon’s sounds, watch brief video clips about life in the canyon, and discover opportunities for interaction on every page. The rhyming children’s story is fun and easy to read while the book’s interactivity enriches the journey. This unique glimpse of our national treasure will surely engage and entertain!
The ‘read aloud’ option makes this book appropriate for younger children. For older children, however, a collection of links to on-line videos recorded by the National Park Service offers a more in depth experience.
“My Paws in the Grand Canyon” is the second title in the A Cairn Terrier Travels to National Parks series, a series of adventure stories created to inspire appreciation and stewardship of our precious parks. (iTunes)

My Paws at the Grand Canyon is an engaging interactive storybook that takes readers on an educational adventure to the Grand Canyon.
Kristi Kay, a Cairn Terrier, guides children through the Grand Canyon as they discover everything this amazing place has to offer. Each page has additional information to uncover and children can choose to have the story read to them. The illustrations are real photos which add to the discovery of the actual plants and animals that call the Grand Canyon home.
I was so excited about this story. I am originally from Arizona and have made several trips to the South Rim. I loved seeing pictures of places I had actually stood while viewing this vast marvel. My daughter, whose 10, even enjoyed the interactive aspect and even though she would never tell me, I believe she learned a thing or two!
I highly recommend picking up a copy of My Paws at the Grand Canyon. Available on iTunes.
