About the Book
Andy does her best balancing Hayden Grace’s competition schedule, practice, and school with her own work schedule at home, in the city, and on the mountain. But work starts to demand more from Andy. Then, Andy receives an opportunity of a lifetime. An opportunity that will turn their lives upside down. But is it too good to be true?
Soon, mother and daughter find themselves in Aspen for Hayden Grace’s first national competition when a chance encounter brings Andy into a passionate, unexpected romance, a romance that could change everything. Will Andy be able to find the happiness she deserves?
Andrea (Andy) Parker's husband, Stefan, was killed in action six years ago and raising their daughter on her own has been anything but easy. Hayden Grace is now fifteen and an avid snowboarder, who is hoping to win her first national competition, but since the death of her father something seems to be holding her back. An encouraging letter, written before Stefan's death, and some of his military patches hidden inside her jacket seem to give her the confidence she needs to pull off a qualifying run. This big win opens a whole new world to the Parker ladies, changing life as they know it forever.
Andy, who's absolutely NOT looking for a relationship after her last dating fiasco and is more focused on helping Hayden Grace further her snowboarding career, is swept away by a chance meeting with a handsome snowboarder, who just happens to be world famous. She could get lost in his amazing blue eyes and the way he makes her feel is something she hasn't experienced since Stefan. But, what will Hayden Grace think of her mom's budding relationship? Is Paul too good to be true?
On The Edge is a wonderful story with intriguing characters that one can't help becoming attached to. The love that Andy and Hayden Grace carry for Stefan is powerful and his presence among the stars gets them through many tough times. When Paul enters their lives, he brings a certain feeling of comfort and familiarity that both Andy and Hayden Grace are drawn to. Andy and Paul's romance made me smile and warmed my heart. Paul's ability to include Hayden Grace made me like him even more. On The Edge is a well-crafted solid read that I hoped wouldn't end.
I highly recommend picking up a copy. Available on Amazon.
