Sweet T and the North Wind is a beautifully written and illustrated story about a little girl who experiences the wonderful enchantment of the North Wind.
It's winter and Sweet T (Tara) and her sisters are cooped up inside. That darn North Wind just keeps blowing and blowing. Longing to ride her new scooter, Sweet T pays it a visit in the basement and something magical happens.
Sweet T and the North Wind is a story to be cherished. After losing 3 of my grandparents in less than 3 years, I cling to the fond memories of special times spent with each of them. This story is a great reminder of just how important it is to remember the time we had with those we hold dear. Sweet T learns this lesson through magic, but later it is revealed that she has always had the ability and through the use her imagination she can bring fond memories to light.
The watercolor illustrations are simply amazing and work well to set the loving and gentle tone of the story.
Sweet T and the North Wind is certainly a story you won't want to miss. I high recommend picking up a copy. Available on Amazon.
