Author Interview with Sharon Ballantine

SB: I am a speaker, author, life and parenting coach, and the founder or the Ballantine Parenting Institute™, my online courses for parents.
What inspired your book, The Art of Blissful Parenting?
SB: I think the drive to find answers is always inside of us. After I lost my immediate family at a young age, I was looking for a way to recreate myself and be the best version of myself moving forward.
Later in my life, when having my children, I knew that my goal was to be the best parent I could possibly be. Being with my children has always been my greatest joy.
I had become a master of what didn’t work in parenting as I found myself becoming fearful of the teen years and what choices my kids may make. Trying to control my kids and have them agree with it never worked. I felt I could save parents a lot of time and trouble by teaching them an easier way. Parents have newfound freedom in learning how to follow their own Internal Guidance System and then teaching their children how to tap into theirs.

SB: Readers will find most appealing that I give an honest account of what happens when we as parents try and control the actions and outcomes of our kids. Readers will appreciate the methods and processes I offer to help them find more ease and freedom in their parenting.
BBB: How did you come up with the idea for your book cover?
SB: In researching cover ideas, I found the image of the sun, sky and horizon gave me a feeling of peace. I wanted parents to feel this peace when they picked up my book.
BBB: What are you currently working on?
SB: I am in the process of completing my one-hour Talk for public speaking venues. I am also scripting my TED Talk.
BBB: How can readers discover more about you and your work?
SB: They can visit me at www.SharonBalllantine.com for articles and other resources, or email me at Sharon@SharonBallantine.com. I also have a free 20 Minute Power Session, and a free video parents can sign up for here.
