During a family vacation on a small island of the Bahamas the life of four puppies will change forever because of the generosity of one sweet young girl.
Daisy has one wish...to find a "special friend"...
This book is dedicated to the amazing effort of "Royal Potcake Rescue" in Atlanta, Georgia from where fantastic women travel to the Abaco Islands in the Bahamas to rescue potcakes puppies, provide veterinary care and find forever homes for them in the United States.
The Little Potcakes is a heartwarming story about a very special little girl named Daisy and the new friend she discovers will visiting the Bahamas with her parents.
Daisy suffered a back injury that left her confined to a wheelchair. Often Daisy feels lonely because other kids thinks since she can't walk she can't play like they do. Daisy wishes for just one friend and is elated when a sweet little puppy springs into her life. Daisy's mom finds out that the puppy is just one of many homeless dogs living in the Bahamas. Daisy and her parents decide they want to help, but what can they do?
The Little Potcakes is a fictional story, but brings to light the large population of homeless dogs in the Bahamas. It references a real organization in the Unites States called Royal Potcake Rescue. Royal Potcake Rescue is on a mission to help find homes for these dogs. You can get more information and find out how to help by visiting www.potcake.org.
