Told in rhyme, When Violet Was Blue is a bouncy tale that children from 3 to 6-years-old will ask to hear over and over again.
When Violet Was Blue is the bright and colorful tale of how little Violet's determination to find sunshine inspires others.
The rain cloud is blocking the sun and Violet can't help but feel blue. Seeking help from her friends, Violet decides to make a change. Can she bring happiness to this gloomy day?
This is such a fun story. Little Violet is darling, as are all the other colors of the rainbow. I loved the author's clever way of teaching children about the colors of the rainbow, while instilling the importance of teamwork. The story also contains fun activities to further learning.
