Meet Cindy Springsteen, Author of Waffles and Pancakes: A Lesson in Friendship

Picture
What inspired you to become a children's author?
I always wanted to be a writer, and my hope was that my children's book could also teach a lesson or moral.

How did you come up with the idea for Waffles and Pancakes: A Lesson in Friendship?

I actually wrote this book before I had children. I read it to my children when they were younger and they loved it. For many years it was put away until I pulled it out about a year ago and decided to send it to some publishers.

How many books have you written?
I have written two as of now. My second book Waffles and Pancakes: A Lesson in Bullying will be released later this year.

What was your favorite book as a child?
Charlotte's Web stands out in my mind.

What do you hope children will learn from your book? That money is not everything. Today when times are so rough for many people, I am hoping my book helps to teach that love is most important.

Are you currently working on other books?

Yes, I am working on a memoir book and other Waffles and Pancakes stories are also in the works.
